4×4 Self Drive Africa – Cape Town to Nairobi – Game Viewing in Africa
We woke early, just before dawn, it was a clear cool crisp morning; perfect conditions for a day of game driving through the Park. We munched on a light breakfast of muffins, fresh fruit and coffee before climbing into our 4×4 and driving off into the African Savannah.
It was only a few minutes before we encountered a pod of hippos basking in the cool waters in a pond. They watched us watching them as they sporadically slid under water before slowly resurfacing. We sat in awe of these gentle giants before continuing on our way.
Day had broken and the great African plains burst with life with herds of giraffe, wildebeest, zebras and cheeky warthogs grazing the sweet green grass. The cool morning air seemed to energies Zebras whom played some sort of game of animal tag – the younger ones would try to nip the hocks of each other; in defense one would sit down and try to nip back. This game lead to a dozen or so zebras forming a strange yet amusing configuration of half standing, half sitting followed by a quick speedy chase across the Savannah. We watched this amusing sight for several minutes.
The zebras played happily until the great stallion let out an ear piercing warning screech. The herd stopped moving immediately; frozen in position. At that moment we spotted a lioness casually wandering across the exposed plain only a couple of hundred feet from the zebra herd.
We held our breath as the adrenalin raced through our veins. Where we about to see a kill? In some ways we wanted the zebra to run for their lives and other ways we wanted to witness the ultimate in wildlife viewing. It was not long before our leader pointed out that the lioness was too exposed and clearly not hungry enough to hunt. So the zebra were safe for another day. To taunt the zebras the lioness found a quiet spot in the warm sun, lay down and dozed off to sleep.
We watch the herbs of nervous wildlife slowly move away from the position of the lion until safely out of harms way. A couple of hours had passed before we knew it and our grumbly stomachs lead to the suggestion of moving on to find a spot to stretch our legs and feast on brunch.
We continued on our way stopping to view herds of buffalo and giraffe before arriving at our brunch stop. We enjoyed a full meal of coffee, juice, fresh fruit and French toast. With our bellies now full we packed up and continued on our game drive.
10 minutes later we spotted a leopard lazily draped over a branch of an Acacia tree. His belly was full and happily lazing about while his meal digested; completely unperturbed by our presence. Even a herd of elephant wandering past did not seem to bother the leopard.
The day was spent cruising around the game park at our own leisure; having the independence of our own vehicle meant we did not have to rush to try to spot the next animal as the packed tourist vehicles seemed to be doing. We saw the Big 5, as well as 3 of the Little 5, numerous wildlife and birds to top off a truly memorable day. We arrived back at camp just in time to watch the sun set over the plains. For dinner we enjoyed a BBQ feast of tender steak, salads and garlic bread; washed down with a bottle of South Africa red wine. We retired to our walk-in free-standing tents and crawled into our camp beds before falling asleep to the wild sound of the African bush.
It was just another day on the 4×4 Fully Guided Self Drive Cape Town to Nairobi Adventure with Africa Expedition Support.

Hybrid Rental Cars
When you rent a hybrid rental car you have the ability to drive some of the latest and greatest hybrid cars. Enjoy driving in luxury and style while you actively reduce your carbon emissions.
A hybrid car is a car that runs on two or more forms of power. Today they run on an internal combustion engine (gas) and also an electric motor. It is this combination that means they burn less gas and are therefore better for the environment.
So when you choose to hire a car you should choose to rent a hybrid car. Generally they are a little more expensive to hire than regular cars because they cost more to buy, however you are doing the environment a favour by driving one.
Hybrid cars are great cars to drive. There are many to choose from such as the Toyota Prius and the Ford Escape just to name a few. The cars are quiet and this is why many believe they have little or no power and acceleration. Don’t be fooled by the smoothness of the engine, these hybrid cars come packed with power and are great for taking off at a set of lights or enjoying high speed on the freeways.
When the engines in normal cars burn fuel they release carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide into the atmosphere. These gases trap heat in the earth and are causing global warming. By using electric motors as well as regular engines hybrid cars burn less gas and therefore release less carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide into the atmosphere. This is the big plus of hybrids cars.
Because of the two engines you will spend a lot less on fuel when you rent your hybrid car. This is great when you are on holidays because it means you can spend more money on eating food, on going out and having fun or on shopping.

The Spanish Region of Catalonia
Catalonia shares it’s northern border with the countries of Andorra and France in the mountainous Pyrenees. The Mediterranean Sea forms it eastern border with the coast running south west down as far as the region of Valencia. The eastern border is shared with the region of Aragon. Throughout history Catalonia has struggled for greater autonomy in it’s relationship with Spain. In attempts to gain full independent it has on more than occasion revolted. Few Catalonians today aspire to have any real expectations of independence but the struggle for greater autonomy within Spain continues.
History – Greeks and Romans established trade along this part of the Mediterranean coast. In the middle ages Catalan art and literature flourished and the now established coastal trade saw merchants become very powerful rivalling those of Venice and Genoa. In 1461 Catalonia rose up in protest at it’s alliance with Aragon but the rebellion was crushed. The subsequent union of Aragon with Castile side lined Catalonia. Trade routes were moved, commercial income fell, famines and plagues all contributed to it’s decline. But the Catalonian desire for independence continued. It rose against Philip IV during the thirty year war of 1618-48 and followed that by taking the side of Archduke Charles in the War of the Spanish Succession against Philip V. It was a centre for socialist influence at the turn of the 19th Century. 1931 saw the Catalans establish a separate government which went on to win autonomy from the Spanish Cortes in 1932. Two years later a revolution for complete independence failed, but in another 2 years autonomy was restored. In the Spanish civil war of 1936-39, Catalonia once again picked the wrong side and following Franco’s victory over the republicans the region suffered badly and the cherished Catalan language was banned in public life. In 1978 it was restored and is now an official language of the region along with Castilian or Spanish. It elected its first parliament as an autonomous region in 1980. By the mid-1990s Catalan nationalists had become a force in both the region’s and the nation’s politics.
Catalonia comprises four provinces, Girona, Barcelona, Tarragona and Lleida, all are named after their capitals.
Girona or Gerona in the north sits on the Onyar River. Dating from pre-Roman times, the old town has preserved its medieval aspect. Girona was ruled by the Moors from 714 to 797. During the Peninsular War of 1808-09 the town resisted the Napoleon’s French forces. Industries today include chemical production, machinery, paper making and textiles. Outside the city and on the coat the beaches and coves around Begur and Palafrugell and particularly attractive. Or take in a sunrise at the Cap de Crues, Spain’s most easterly point. Just to the south is the enchanting whitewashed village of Cadaques built around a rocky bay. The artist Salvador Dali spent the holidays of his youth there and later lived in the nearby village of Port Lligat. The barren shorelines, odd formations of rocks and desolate moonscapes so typical of his paintings can be seen in abundance throughout the locality. The Teatre-Musea Dali is located in the town of Figueres and contains a great deal of the artist’s works. The Pyrenees, in the north of the province, offer many opportunities for walking and hiking, the Parc Nacional d’Aiguestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici being one of the most attractive areas. There are several ski stations operating throughout the winter months.
There is evidence of some settlement in the area going back to the 15th century BC but Barcelona is reputed to take it’s name from the powerful Carthaginian family of Barca who founded the basis for the city as we know it today. Under the Romans and Visigoths the city flourished. In the 8th century it fell to the Moors and in 801 it was taken by Charlemagne, who included it in the Spanish March. The March became independent under the leadership of the powerful counts of Barcelona in the 9th and 10th centuries, They won lands from the Moors to the south and acquired all of Catalonia. In 1137, following the marriage of Count Raymond Berengar IV to the heiress of Aragon the two regions became united. The city of Barcelona became the capital as it was for future kings of Spain. A well ruled Barcelona expanded trade in the Mediterranean. Its cloth industry flourished and it became a powerful centre of banking and commerce. Around 1400 saw the peak in it’s fortunes, decline followed along with the rest of Catalonia. The French occupied the city on three occasions in 1640-52, 1715 and 1808-14. Catalan separatism centred on Barcelona and the city was the scene of many insurrections. It revolted against Philip IV of Spain from 1640-52. It also became the Spanish centre of socialism and other radical political doctrines around 1900. Barcelona was the capital of the region’s autonomous government from 1932-39. During the civil war the Spanish Loyalist government sat in Barcelona until it fell to Franco’s forces in early 1939. The region saw demonstrations against Franco’s dictatorship throughout the 1950’s. Today Barcelona is Spain’s second largest city and the claims to be cultural centre of the country. It is the capital of the Catalonian region and more than one third of region’s population reside there. Barcelona is also Spain’s largest port and its chief commercial centre with international banking and finance houses. It is a major industrial centre and production includes aviation, chemicals, electrical equipment, foundries, locomotives, machinery, textiles and vehicles. The city itself is modern, with wide avenues, bustling traffic and striking new architecture. By contrast the well preserved old city, Roman walls can still be seen, is filled with narrow, winding streets and ancient structures, including a cathedral, many churches, the city hall and the Lonja or exchange. Barcelona is the site of a reputed opera house, the Contemporary Art Museum, the Fine Arts Museum of Catalonia and the Picasso Museum. In 1992 it hosted the summer Olympics. The remainder of the province of Barcelona is in the main hilly or mountainous. But it also home to some highly fertile plains where cereals grapes and olives are grown. The province also produces one third of Spain’s wine. Much of the area’s power is generated by hydroelectric plants built on the Ebro, Cinca and Segre rivers. The coastline, stretching nearly 400 kilometres has many good harbours and marinas, excellent fisheries and an buoyant tourist trade. West of Barcelona you will find the vineyards of the Penedes area. Also the mountain of Montserrat, on a clear day the peak at 1236m above sea level offers views of the Pyrenees to the north and to Mallorca in the Balearic Islands to the south east.
Tarragona sits on the mouth of the river Francola on the Mediterranean. It was formally known as Tarraco and in 218BC was captured by Roman forces. They built up is fortifications against attack by the Carthaginians. The ruins of Roman walls and an aquaduct remain still. It fell to both the Visigoths and the Moors in the 5th and 8th centuries respectively. The Christians recaptured it in the 12th century but when it’s trade was captured by either regions Barcelona or Valencia it fell into decline. In 1903 Carthusian monks settled in the city having been expelled from La Grande Chartreuse in France. Their famous liqueur is produced here to this day. Today it is important as both a commercial centre and port. Industries include flour mills, an oil refinery and wine production and export. Some of the countries finest wines are made nearby in the Priorat region.
Lleida lies on the river Segre. Formally known as Llerda, Julius Ceasar defeated the generals of Pompey here in 49 BC. The Moorish invasion from the south saw Lleida fall in 714. It was liberated by Christian forces in 1149. By tradition a strategic, fortified city, Lleida became a key defence point for Barcelona in the Spanish civil war. It eventually fell to Franco’s forces in the April of 1938 having withheld for nine long months. A castle, whose ramparts enclose a Romanesque cathedral, dominates the old section of the city. Lleida is the centre of a fertile farm area and agriculture predominates. There is little in the way of a manufacturing industry.

Tasting Barcelona – Things You Must Have When You Visit the City – Part 1
Spanish gastronomy has enjoyed much popularity over recent years, and Mediterranean cuisine on a whole is often regarded as one of the healthiest regarding balanced diet. Ferran Adria’s restaurant in northern Catalunya, “El Bulli” is considered by some of the world’s most acclaimed critics to be the best restaurant in the world at the moment. However, with so much on offer, and so many restaurants in Barcelona, like any city, it’s easy to miss a few of the classic Catalan dishes. What worse feeling is there to getting home and your friends and colleagues saying “What?! You mean you didn’t try the …?” Well, here’s a quick list of those un-missable culinary delights that are on offer.
Pan Tomaquet. This sounds really simple, but it’s so great, and the majority of tapas and sandwiches in Barcelona are served in this way. It’s basically bread (be it, baguette, chapatta, slices of toast, etc.) rubbed with raw tomato and olive oil. Variations include rubbing toasted bread with raw garlic, then the raw tomato and then the olive oil drizzled on top. Sounds simple, but it is mouth-wateringly good, and when I’ve gone out dining many times, you often polish off the tomato bread so quickly that your starter doesn’t quite have the same shine!
Continuing from the above suggestion, we have the amazing Spanish cured hams, but in particular “Jamon Iberico pata negra” which refers to a specific breed of Iberic Hogs “black trotter” – who are fed solely on acorns – which gives an incredible taste to their meat. It’s the most expensive of uhams, so avoid the restaurants, and pop into the “boqueria” market on Las Ramblas, pick up a couple of slices (ask for birutas, which are wafer thin slices), get your bread and tomato and you have a self-made picnic right there. Be sure to get some of the pata negra chorizos (spicy sausage) while you’re there, too – amazing!
What visit to Barcelona – the Catalan Capital – could be complete without trying the varios Cavas on offer. The Penedes region is only 40 minutes from Barcelona, and such brands as Codorniu, Freixenet, and many others on the cava trail are a must to be tasted whilst in the city. Unlike Champagne, Cavas seem to go down easier – maybe due to the fact that you don’t need to buy a really expensive bottle for it to taste anywhere near nice (personal experience, and not much at that!).

Car Hire Scams – Don’t Be a Fuel
Renting a car on holiday is a good way to explore your destination as a native would, avoiding the busy tourist traps and making the most of your break. But, like many other tourist industries, the car hire sector is plagued with hidden fees and little surcharges which can relieve the unsuspecting tourist of a lot more money than they expected.
Aside from the ‘discovered damage’ trick, another all-too familiar ploy is the ‘fuel gauge’ one. Most rental firms stipulate that a car must be returned with a full tank of fuel, or a refuelling charge will be added. This sounds simple enough, but some unscrupulous firms take it one step further; if they can squeeze even one more litre into the tank after you return it, they could charge you a hefty bill.
Like the discovered damage scam, this is easily avoided if you take precautions. When you pick your rental car up, take a photograph of the fuel gauge and the odometer and make sure the rental staff mark these down on your forms. Then, upon leaving the rental agency, drive to the nearest garage and top up the tank, keeping the receipt. When you go to take the car back, go to the same garage and top up once again, and keep the receipt. Give both of these receipts to the rental staff and this will prove that you filled up the car before returning it.
Bear in mind that some car’s fuel gauges read differently to others, and parking the car on an incline could also affect the reading. Topping up the tank on both pickup and collection will take away any doubt that these factors may cause. If you can’t do this, you could arrange for the rental company to refuel upon the car’s return and charge you the difference, but this will often be much more per litre than you would pay at a filling station. Better to do it yourself if at all possible.
Despite the tricks to watch out for, holiday car hire can be fun; the experience of driving in another country is something to remember. Cheap car hire can be booked online, and most car rental agencies offer airport pickup.
Now a day, car hire is quite common in most of the European countries, If you are going to car hire in London, you need not shell-out huge sums, there are plenty of deals available on internet, yo…

Seville, the Vibrant Capital of Andalucia
Seville, or more correctly,Sevilla, is the heart and soul of Andalucia.
Home to flamenco, bullfighting and many wonderful buildings it offers the
visitor a wide variety of sites and sensations. On the one hand it
is a modern bustling Spanish city with one foot very much in the 21st.
century, but on the other hand it’s long and varied history means
that it’s other foot is firmly placed in the past.
The best place to begin any trip to Seville is in the barrio Santa Cruz
which is the old Jewish quarter. Here you are immediately enchanted by
the amazing labyrinth of narrow winding passageways with tall ancient
buildings towering above you, so closely that if you leaned out of a window
you could shake hands with someone on the opposite side of the “ancha,” or
passageway.
The one great advantage of these narrow streets is that there is little traffic
and the close proximity of the tall buildings keeps it cool even in the
fiercest Sevillian summer heat, a great advantage when you are
wandering around hopelessly lost looking for your hotel!! You will notice
whole troupes of tourists, map in hand, trying to find their way out, Hampton
Court maze has got nothing on barrio Santa Cruz! So be warned, go
armed with a very good street plan.
The pride of Seville is the Cathedral, the largest gothic building in the world,
and the third largest Church,
with it’s accompanying Giralda. This was originally built by the Moslems
as a minaret to the Great Mosque. However on the fall of the Moslems
the Mosque was converted into a Chrisitan Cathedral and the minaret adapted
to become the bell tower whose top is adorned with a weather vane in the shape of a
female form representing fate. From the top of the Giralda there are
stunning views over the whole of the city.
The nearby Alczar also started life as a Moorish building, in this case a fortress
but it was later taken over by the Christians and became home to
King Pedro the Cruel of Castile and his mistress Maria de Padilla who
in the 1360’s lived in and ruled from the Alcazar. However he kept the Moorish
influence by undertaking much renovation work,
employing Moorish workmen from Granada and utilising fragments of earlier
Moorish buildings in Seville, Cordoba and Valencia. It is a magical place
to visit on a summer’s night when it is floodlit.
By contrast the Casa de Pilatos is a beautiful renaissance building, although
it goes without saying there is still with some Spanish Mud jar influence,
is a wonderful old house full of antique furniture, paintings, silverware, plates etc.
It is open daily to the public except when members of the Royal Family
and sundry aristocrats are in residence as they stay there when they
come to Seville.
Seville is just a wonderful city to visit, not only are there so many
wonderful tourist sites to see but here you can really experience the
joyous Spanish love of life. Be sure to try as many tapas bars as possible,
take in a flamenco, or more correctly sevilliana, show and
try the excellent cuisine.

Why Rent a Car?
One of the biggest advantage of renting a vehicle from someone else is that you don’t need all the hassle of purchasing a vehicle. I am certain if you have purchased a vehicle before, you can relate. You need to provide them with all your particulars, your bank information, your credit, your insurance and much more. And it is not as easy as what the sales person says. Furthermore when you purchase a car, the value of the car immediately drops. You don’t expect that the price of the car rise now, do you? These are some things you definitely something should consider when you are thinking of buying your own car. And after you purchase your car, you will need to take it in for servicing and repairs. Big hassle here. You will also need to worry about paying for insurance and premiums. So much trouble just for a car to bring you to and fro from work. If you need a vehicle just for transport, why bother?
So why not rent a car? You might think that it is more expensive in the long run but do remember that your car do depreciates in value over time. It does not mean that the price of your car remains as high when you sell it in a few years down the road. And how about insurance? Remember, you will need to pay for insurance yourself and this will factor into the cost. How about servicing and repairs? You will have to pay for those as well after the first few free servicing provided by the distributor. Do you really need to OWN that car? Why not let others worry about insurance, servicing and among others for you. All you NEED is a vehicle that drives you to and from work right? Some rental companies even allow you to choose your own model, make and colour if you sign a long term contract with them. So, this is just like getting your very own vehicle, less the many headaches of ownership.
For companies hiring foreigners, leasing a vehicle is also a better alternative. Companies look at cash flow and renting vehicles instead of purchasing them makes good accounting sense. Furthermore contract employees may come and go at any time, so leasing provides a flexible option for companies.
Most rental companies will provide you with alternate transport when they send the vehicle in for servicing or repairs. You don’t need to even send the vehicle for servicing yourself as it should be included in the rental package! All you have to do is to pay for the fuel, road access charges and parking. That’s it. What could be simpler than that?

Algorfa-A Place to Live and Enjoy Life
The sleepy Spanish village of Algorfa lies between the towns of Rojales and Almoradi on the Southern Costa Blanca. Surrounded by orange and lemon groves, Algorfa is one of the numerous citrus farming villages of the region, sitting as it does on the fertile land of the Segura river valley. Only a small village with a population of under three thousand, Algorfa enjoys some fine views of the surrounding countryside, mountains and the sparkling blue Mediterranean.
Early artefacts show that there were definitely settlements in the area around Algorfa as far back as 3.000 BC. Human remains were uncovered by a Jesuit archaeologist in 1903 which date from the Neolithic Era (4,000 2,000 BC).
Founded in 1328 when Alfonso II granted Algorfa a privilege and made it part of the kingdom of Valencia, the original village consisted of 15 properties housing 15 families. This privilege was later withdrawn by Felipe V at the end of the War of Spanish Succession 1714, the privilege was however restored before the end of the eighteenth century by king Carlos IV at the request of the Marquesses of Algorfa.
Modern day Algorfa is a warm and friendly place, where visitors are always given a smile and a generous welcome. The delightful village square houses the church, the Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) and the police station, it is the centre of the community and the location for many fiestas, celebrations and local activities. There are several shops, restaurants and bars around the square but Algorfa is not a busy place, more of a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The weather in Algorfa is normally warm and pleasant even during the winter months, the village enjoys around 300 sunny days each year and very little rainfall. Summer temperatures can reach a scorching 40 degrees centigrade and in the winter the temperature rarely falls below 14 degrees although the nights can be quite cold during January and February.
Places of interest around Algorfa include the unusual nineteenth century neo-gothic church, situated outside the village on the road to Benejuzar and well worth a visit, the Parque Natural de Las Lagunas de La Mata y Torrevieja the protected Natural park of the salt lakes with its rich bird life and lovely walking routes, the cave houses at Rojales and the unique Shell house nearby and the Palace of the Marquis de Fontabla near Jacarilla with its substantial gardens.
Also worth a visit is the bustling Algorfa Sunday market a great place to pick up a bargain.
Those with a little more energy to spare may want to take advantage of the local recreation centre with a host of sporting activities catered for including swimming, squash, tennis and five-a-side football, there is also a children s play area included. Golfers will no doubt want to try out the La Finca Golf Club with its 18 hole (Par 72) championship golf course designed by Jose Gancedo and opened in 2001. The course is set in beautiful, natural surroundings with several lakes to bring variety and difficulty to the game. The usual cost of a round is 75 euros (2007). In the hot summer months a trip to the Aqua Splash Park at Quesada would be a pleasant way to spend an afternoon.
If the beach is more your thing, you can still get plenty of what you enjoy whilst in Algorfa. The fabulous white sandy beaches of Guardamar del Segura are just a fifteen minute drive away and also within easy reach are the beaches at Torrevieja, La Mata and the Orihuela Costa.
What best sums up the Costa Blanca village of Algorfa? The answer is the village motto Algorfa a place to live and to enjoy life .
Algorfa lies just off the CV-91 road between Orihuela and the coastal town of Guardamar del Segura. It can also be easily reached from the N332 coast road and from the AP-7 motorway (junction 740). The nearest airports are at Alicante and Murcia (San Javier) both are about a thirty five minute drive away.
The author of this article, Stephen Locke is an authority on the Costa Blanca region, his website contains a wealth of information, pictures and maps of the area. Moving Inland – Spanish Country Property
Go back ten or fifteen years, Spain s coastal regions were still very much untouched and blossomed with natural beauty, however with the massive influx of foreign property buyers Spain has seen an unfortunate decay along the coasts which has been caused directly from the greed of builders, construction companies and Real Estate agents pushing for more developments which will probably never be completely filled.
The countryside regions that still hold the beauty, tradition and way of life that so many dearly love about Spain are still very much thriving and benefiting from the recent rise in population. The scenery has not been spoilt and views that will take your breath away still exist, the government has taken upon itself to protect more and more of its beauty spots with new laws which will protect the countryside that is of great importance to Spain.
Not only for permanent living but also for overseas property investment with prices starting in places such as Granada, Jaen and inland Valencia from only 20,000 euros! Business wise buying inland is a great investment opportunity as already prices are beginning to rise and as things look set to continue, many property renovators are also looking at such areas to find a country property bargain to reform and place back on the property market to make a good return on what they had paid and for the work put in to the property.
Local tradesmen in the small country villages are cheap to hire and plenty of them to call on, materials are way below coastal prices and easy to come by, so in all restoring a property in a small country village is not as expensive as first might seem.
Many dream of purchasing a property out in the countryside in the UK but due to the high property prices are a distant dream, with Spain that dream is within easy reach of claiming, second home owners can easily afford such a property.
What is so great about the Spanish countryside and property in these regions is that the properties are all unique, coastal developments cram in so many similar or exactly the same properties into a small plot (urbanization) and sell them for ridiculous prices. Inland properties are more or less completely different and boast great character that you will not see along the coasts.
So how do you go about it?
Firstly, decide what use the property will serve? Permanent living, second home / holiday home, renovation / restoration project or investment? Do some research on the different areas such as Granada, Jaen and Valencia; some people will need different requirements depending on your situation.
Use and choose a trusted Spanish country property specialist that will be able to advise and assist you throughout the purchase process, help with your needs be it for building materials or simply normal domestic household equipment, local information and contacts to get you on your way and finally to make sure you have made the best decision for you and your family.
Your agent will make all the necessary checks on the property, but getting an independent solicitor or lawyer to do the paper work will stop any unnecessary problems from occurring.
With all the bad press in the UK about horror stories of buying property in Spain making the right choices and decisions, not rushing in a putting a deposit on the first house you see and standing back to assess the real situation with save a lot of heartache and stress. Be aware of the Spanish laws on property, taxes and costs to increase your knowledge so you are not walking blindfolded into a situation that others have found themselves in.
Buying a property in Spain is not hard and certainly not a risk as long as you know what you are doing and what you should not do and what other better place to do it than inland rural Spain
